DARK PARADISE

Angie Sandro

July 1, 2014

Grand Central Publishing/ Forever Yours

BOOK BLURB:

DARK LEGACY

Mala LaCroix has spent her whole life trying to escape her destiny. As the last in a long line of “witch women,” she rejects the notion of spirits and hoodoo and instead does her best to blend in. But when she finds a dead body floating in the bayou behind her house, Mala taps into powers she never knew she had. She’s haunted by visions of the dead girl, demanding justice and vengeance.

DEADLY SECRETS

Landry Prince has always had a crush on Mala, but when Mala discovers his sister, murdered and marked in some sort of Satanic ritual, he starts to wonder if all the rumors about the LaCroix family are true. Yet after Mala uses her connection to the spirit world to identify his sister’s killer, he starts to form his own bond to her . . . a very physical one. As they move closer to each other and closer to the truth, Mala and Landry must risk everything—their families, their love, and even their lives.

About the author:Angie Sandro Author

Angie Sandro was born at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. Within six weeks, she began the first of eleven relocations throughout the United States, Spain, and Guam before the age of eighteen.

Friends were left behind. The only constants in her life were her family and the books she shipped wherever she went. Traveling the world inspired her imagination and allowed her to create her own imaginary friends. Visits to her father’s family in Louisiana inspired this story.

Angie now lives in Northern California with her husband, two children, and an overweight Labrador

I have never seen a ghost (thank goodness) but not sure how I actually feel on whether they are real or not. Part of me hopes not, but part of me is intrigued by the possibility.

I’ve never seen one either, but I’m also intrigued by the possibility. And I love a good ghost story for this reason. The closest I’ve come is waking up in the middle of the night to my baby’s Snoring Ernie doll turning on by itself. Scared me half to death, lol.

Well, that and the spooky basement in my childhood home. I still get the chills when I think of going down those steep stairs into the dark. Not knowing if something would reach out and grab me.

Thanks, Alex. The artist found a way to express the theme of the book better than anything I could have imagined. I love it!

I don’t really believe in ghosts my a very close friend of mine does and lately she’s been making me doubt that maybe there are ghost

Shamara, my sister-in-law believes in ghosts. I’m kind of an on-the-fence type. I don’t believe or disbelieve. Who knows what’s out there. And just because I’ve never seen one, doesn’t mean they don’t exist.

I think that’s why the idea of it captured my imagination. The possible existence of the supernatural makes the world a little more exciting. Of course, I’m perfectly okay with not being haunted. See, I’m a total waffler, lol.

LOL, awesome. You’re the kind of person I’d want to go through a haunted house with. You’d be the one to say, “The walls not trying to eat you, Angie. It’s just a shadow from a passing car.” Keep me grounded in reality because I can be a ‘fraidy cat.

Yes and no. I believe in spirits, which are referred to as ghosts by most people.
