What’s Up Wednesday

The lovelies Jaime Morrow and Erin Funk came up with the WHAT’S UP WEDNESDAY meme. Here’s Jaime’s explanation about it: “It’s similar in some respects to the Currently… post, but it’s been whittled down to only four headings to make it quicker and more manageable on a weekly basis. You’re invited to join us if you’re looking for something to blog about, a way to let your blog friends know what’s been going on with you.”

Whats up Wednesday

I didn’t touch  Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout this week … I want to, I just don’t feel like it … And I’ve read The Only One by my friend Magan Vernon, and began Frostbite by Lynn Rush last night.

I should finish revising Soul Oath (The Everlast Trilogy #2) and Cup of Life (The Everlast Trilogy #2.5) today or tomorrow, and then I’ll send it back to my editor. After that, I’ll probably jot down some ideas for a novel I want to rewrite that have been in my mind, and then I’ll go back to writing Playing Pretend – I have 25k words down and it should be other 30-35k to finish.

I bought a Zumba game for my PS3 and I’m very excited about that! I was a ballerina for 20 years  and I love, love dancing. I miss it so much, so Zumba is a great way of exercising AND doing something I like. Dancing is really good to my soul …

Legend of Korra! Oh my God, now that’s a TV show! I love the characters – all of them, I love the plot, the setting, the mystery, the background … it’s perfect. The only thing I have to complaint is about the length. It’s only 24 minutes! And the ending of the last two episodes killed me …

Like I said, I’ve been “playing” Zumba. It’s super fun and a great workout.

Last night, I switched my iPhone 4s to a iphone 5s so it’s like having a new toy …

My kid takes 4 classes at a local dance studio (ballet, jazz/tap, hip hop and acrobatics) and they have a Winter Follies recital in December – her previous studio didn’t have that, only the recital in May, and she’s very excited about it. And mommy is ready to take a bunch of pictures!

I took the liberty of adding another part to this meme:

Entwine - Rebecca Berto - eBook

Cover by: Berto Designs

Releasing in late November 2013

Sarah Langham’s life was the epitome of normal until her dad slept with another woman when she was sixteen. It ripped her family apart.

Twenty-two-year-old Sarah has it together, though.

Waiting at the train station to go home from her first day of her first proper job out of university, she spots a man.

He is an enigma to her. She’s drawn to him, with his square jaw; buzz of hair; and his tall, solid frame, seen under the contours of his business suit. And he’s been looking at her, too. Fate pulls them together that night on a whirlwind date, exceeding anything Sarah’s experienced before. He’s even more into her than she’s into him. Finally, she wants to trust a guy for the first time since she was sixteen.

But then they discover something.

Something that meant they were never two strangers at a train station.

And it threatens to tear their future apart before it, really, ever begins.

About the Author Rebecca Berto - author photo - June 2013

Rebecca Berto writes stories about love and relationships. She gets a thrill when her readers are emotional reading her books, and gets even more of a kick when they tell her so. She’s strangely imaginative, spends too much time on her computer, and is certifiably crazy when she works on her fiction.

Rebecca Berto lives in Melbourne, Australia with her boyfriend and their doggy.

Praise for the Moonsongs series:

“You won’t find any romantic, skinny, sparkling werewolves here. What you will find is something scary and atmospheric like King’s “Cycle of the Werewolf” that will leave you wanting more.” Michael Offutt, author of Slipstream

“– a tense story with some unique elements. A very good read!” Alex J. Cavanaugh, Amazon Bestselling Author of CassaFire and CassaStar

“–reminds me of t.v. episodes; short, sweet, resolved in under an hour. But I’m talking good, interesting t.v.. The kind that draws you in and leaves you eagerly awaiting next week’s episode.” Books & Things Blog

“The writing is amazing – even in just a few short pages, you can see that right off the bat. It really engages you in the story and keeps you reading along until the end.” Missy’s Reads & Reviews Blog

“Blood Fugue has one of those endings that you least expect, giving it that “OMG” reaction.” Insane About Books Blog

“His action scenes are thrilling, sometimes cringe-worthy. No doubt I spent the entire read curled over my computer not wanting it to end.” robgirlbooks, Amazon Review

About the Author:EJ

Growing up in small-town Oklahoma, there were limits on the amount and types of entertainment at my disposal. Perhaps that’s why I set my imagination free. After collecting degrees in psychology and counseling, life brought me to Missouri, Texas, and Northern California—where I currently read, write, and live. I fill my spare time playing video games, watching movies, planning for the zombie apocalypse, reading graphic novels, and playing with my dogs.

My passion for New Adult literature led me to producing the weekly New Adult Lit Chat on Twitter, and contributing to the NA Alley Blog. I’m also the author of the Moonsongs Books, a series of New Adult, speculative-rural fantasy novelettes.
