Captain Ninja Alex J. Cavanaugh has done it again! Here’s his super fun blogfest, Genre Favorites!
List your favorite genre of:
Movie:
Romantic action (does that exist?) – what I mean is, action movies that have romance in it. What can I say? I love me some romance ;) Good examples: Prince of Persia, Avatar, and John Carter of Mars
Music:
I’m very, very eclectic and like almost everything, but I know that the genre I listen a tiny bit more than the others is Pop.
Books:
Romance – or anything with romance. It can be simply Urban Fantasy or Science Fiction with strong romantic elements, even if the end if not happy. At least the character loved/was loved during some part of the book …
And a guilty pleasure genre from any of the three categories!
Music – Reggaeton – love to dance it!
It was hard choosing only one song from them since I love them all, but here it goes. This is Reggaeton: The Siento by Wisin Y Yandel:
You should stop by and check out the others participating of the blogfest! Find the linky list here.
How about you? What are your favorite genres?
Cheers,

romantic action – that’s a great genre :)
dancing is a great way to relive stress… and be unusual, i am a horrible dancer… my wife says i am good. i think she just wants me to take her out more. what is pop music… is that like the eighties?
Such a fun blogfest. I do enjoy romance (although I put women’s fiction as my answer, certainly that usually has love themes running throughout), but it has to have some depth to it. Some real emotion. Love your movie genre. I want to escape when I go to the movies, nothing too heavy. Fun!

I love me some romance, too! But it’s got to be paranormal or urban fantasy. I need an escape. :) LOL

I love the idea of romantic action! That should so be a thing. :)
I still haven’t seen Avatar. . .I know it’s supposed to be amazing. Some day I’ll check it out. :)
Nobody should be surprised that I love long, heavy, serious historical dramas, either in books or in films. I also love silent film and early sound film, maybe up to the early 1950s.

I agree that there should be at least some romance somewhere in anything – even music can have it! :D It’s why my fave band is the Smashing Pumpkins – a lot of their music is very romantic :)

Love your choice of music! I like Hips Don’t Lie by Shakira. What can I say, my husband’s heritage is Colombian! I missed the blogfest but thought I’d make the rounds anyway.

Romantic action movie are great. I love them too:)
I do enjoy romance mixed in with most other genres. I think it helps pull the reader in a bit more and helps form a connection.
My Genre Favorites & Guilty Pleasures
I love The Prince of Persia. Action/romance is a great category.
I love reggaeton! I wish I hadn’t missed this bloghop, it seems like it was fun!
